Canning Class Sunday 8/2

Description: Have you ever wanted to have jars of shelf-stable food for you or your family? Now's the time to learn water bath canning! This preservation method is the more accessible of the two types of canning. It's easy to learn, cheap to find supplies, and you can can a whole host of pickled, jellied, and salsa-style foods. In this class we'll cover putting up whole tomatoes, which are one of the most beginner friendly things to can. Participants will take home a pint-sized jar of canned tomatoes, plus a page of resources and the knowledge to can more at home on your own. 

Details: Class will take place on Sunday, 8/2 at 9-11a.m. in the big barn at Eureka Organic Farm. Class will be rain or shine!
