Ethical Seed Companies Spreadsheet

Description: This spreadsheet is a work in progress labor of love. In response to learning that some of my favorite seed companies are problematic, I'm compiling a list of seed companies in the United States to figure out which ones are supporting Israel, promoting racism or fascism or some other rhetoric that goes against what this farm believes, and which ones are superb companies to work for and buy from. This list wouldn't be possible without input from the online community, so thank you!

I'll be filling in this list with information over the next few months, with an anticipated goal of being done by the end of December 2026, just in time for seed buying season. It takes me 15-30 minutes per entry, depending on how much information I have to sift through, and I anticipate having ~120 entries by the time I'm done. The spreadsheet can be sorted by name, location, type of product sold, ethical dilemmas if any, and has a section for notes, sources, and links.

I've made this spreadsheet available on a sliding scale. Please choose whichever payment option feels best for you.
